Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Crowley Takes Fallon 250 Victory

Irvine, Calif.– Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jon Crowley drove his Kawasaki Teryx to victory at the fifth round of the Valley Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) series in Fallon, Nev. Although the race was held at night, the drivers faced extremely hot conditions, leaving the Teryx to show off its durability. With one win under his belt, Crowley took over the lead and ended the race over 40 minutes ahead of second place.

Hot Hot Heat
With temperatures reaching over 100 degrees when the green flag flew at 6:30 p.m., Crowley knew it was going test the machine and his endurance.

“The key to our win at the Fallon night race was the power and reliability of our Muzzys built 840cc Teryx v-twin engine,” said Crowley. “We were first off the line, and steadily increased our lead for five laps.”

One For The Desert
After winning a race already this year on the short course, Crowley had yet to conquer the desert format coming into the race in Nevada.

“This is my first season racing the full VORRA series, and after a win in the short course earlier in the year, we have had a tough time in the desert,” said Crowley. “I feel with this win, I got the monkey is off my back and I am looking forward to the next few races.”

Final Desert Race
The next race in the VORRA series is the final desert race before the series returns to its short course format. With Crowley winning one of each format, he is prepared to put his Kawasaki Teryx back on the top of the podium now that he has conquered each respective race type.

“Unlike some other teams that run one machine for the desert and another for short course, I am running my Kawasaki Teryx for both,” said Crowley.

About VORRA:
Valley Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) was established in 1975 as a family-oriented organization and is led by current promoter Wes Harbor who believes that “off road racing has its roots in people’s garages”. VORRA is the only organization to offer both four short course races and four desert races as part of its overall season championship. Each race draws over 60 racers between multiple classes available for Cars, Trucks, Pilots, ATV, UTV and Trophy Karts. In 2010 VORRA has added two additional truck classes and a stand alone ATV Race Series. More information can be found at www.vorra.net
