July 22, 2014 – Auburn, WA – The new 220 millimeter (8.7″) artillery from Vision X Lighting marks another groundbreaking move by the progressive light manufacturer, as they have continued their exclusive alliance with Luminus, the world’s leading big chip LED manufacturer. This is the first Single Source LED light to achieve 1000 meters or 3280 feet of usable light. Like the other Cannon LED Series lights (4.5″ & 6.7″), the new 8.7” Light Cannon supports snap on filters to change beam and color, turning this light into 20 lights in 1. The rugged single-bolt mounting platform ensures a strong hold under high vibration, while the Hybrid Aluminum/Polycarbonate housing is engineered for extreme environments.

Exclusive Technology:
This exclusive 90-Watt LED chip is the world’s first round single chip high powered LED, which produces an unmatched seemless beam pattern. The 90-watt Luminus Ultra-Premium LED combined with Vision X Lighting’s Prime Drive, Integrated Thermal Management and proprietary Iris Reflector Technology produce amazing lighting distance and reliability, with a smooth light pattern.

Lightweight and Tough:
This leading technology is encased by a lightweight, high-strength Hybrid Aluminum/Polycarbonate housing (just 10.36 lbs.), providing the optimum combination for enduring the hottest, coldest, wettest (IP-68 waterproof rating) and most rugged conditions.

Protection and Improved Visibility:
Up to 20 different Light Cannon Cover Filters are available. Each polycarbonate translucent cover also protects the Light Cannon as well as improving vision in dust, fog or snow. Each is finished with a glow in the dark printed “X” for a unique look at night when the Light Cannons are off. Cannon Covers are available in clear, blue, red and yellow colors along with euro, trail flood, wide flood and elliptical beam changing covers
