The 19th annual Sand Sports Super Show has come and gone and everyone is gearing up for the southwest desert season.  We’d like to take a quick look back at social media leading up to and through the event to see what popped by number of likes.  If you’d like to check out our full recap, go to 2017 SAND SPORTS SUPER SHOW.

Cognito Motorsports is an industry leader in Truck and UTV aftermarket accessories.  Suspension upgrades and full race builds are what they are know for. They rolled into the show on Friday with a 53 foot gooseneck trailer in tow filled with their two seat play car, four seat pre-runner and Hell Raiser race car.

SDR Motorsports – SDR always brings their “A” game to the sand show and this year was no different. This Can-Am Maverick X3 was off-the-charts with a full Glazzkraft body, HCR long travel suspension and finished off with some custom OMF beadlocks.

Funco Motorsports – While Funco has been in the off-road industry for a bazillion years, the focus more on the high-end sand cars.  This year they came to the Sand Show with a Can-Am Maverick X3 that matched one of their customers sand cars.  Can you say “Twinning”?

XTC Power Products – By far the biggest hit on Instagram was the flashback to the 2016 Sand Sports Super Show we posted of Hell RAZR. 500 HP Subaru RZR built by TMW Offroad and XTC Power Products.

TMW OffRoad – Another stop that always brings a super cool build is TMW.  This time, they brought a new four-seat Can-Am Maverick MAX with cage, doors, seats, lights and a sweet wrap from Wolf Designs.

Magnum Offroad – There are plenty of RZR XP4’s that have been converted to two seat race cars for desert racing, but the cleanest four-seat RZR XP4 play car conversions we’ve seen was in the Magnum booth.

Walker Evans Racing – RJ Anderson’s new RZR XPT play car features Velocity Shocks, Walker Links and Forged Wheels from Walker Evans Racing and new 35-inch BFG KR2 tires!

Assault Industries – Assault’s Yamaha YXZ1000R sat atop their company work truck in the Icon booth

Woodys Themed RZR XP4 – Super clean Woodys theme with Magnum cage and doors, HiPer wheels and Baja Designs LEDs.

HiPer – Our Can-Am Maverick X3 build was in the HiPer booth looking good! We just added a bunch of new products from Assault Industries and seats and harnesses from Simpson.  Can’t wait to get back in the dunes with this car!

Method – Clean Can-Am Maverick X3 with Method beadlocks and Tensor tires.

Flashback to the 2015 Sand Sports Super Show – When Siri gave us “Sancho”. Always a crackup to see this one recirculated.

The 2017 Sand Sports Super Show was incredible and we can’t wait to get to the dunes! Until next time, be sure to give us a follow on Instagram at @utvguide.
