Rialto, California (March 25, 2011) Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona was pounded by adrenaline seeking fans to witness the launch of the 2011 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series. Chad George was there to help bring race fans to their feet as he claimed 3 podium finishes including a 1st and 3rd in his #1 Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx UTV, plus a 3rd in his #42 Kawasaki//Yokohama SuperLite.
Chad commented on the weekend, “Our Funco Motorsports team had some real tests this weekend, the competition was tough and we came out standing tall with a great start to the long season ahead. My Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx was on a rail, we qualified 1st and 2nd and finished 1st and 3rd. The C&G Performance tuned Kawasaki power plant definitely gave the competition something to chase, I love it!
I put the Kawasaki/Yokohama SuperLite and my driving skills to the test this week. I found myself qualifying mid pack on both days, but pushed super hard to the front on Saturday and Sunday. Our Yokohama tire combinations on the tricky track conditions were on the money, and I’m glad Beard Seats and Simpson know what they are doing, it was crazy out there!
It feels really good to be back on the podium after the long off-season, we go to Speedworld Off-Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on April 16-17 with a 3rd place points standing in SuperLite, and 1st place in UTV Modified. See you there!”
