Sara Price set to Race SCORE International Baja 500

LAS VEGAS, NV – June 1, 2023 – SP Motorsports driver Sara Price will be teaming up with Alsup Racing Development Mitchell Alsup for the 55th SCORE International Baja 500. The team welcomes two new sponsors for this specific race: Switch Pros and Klean Freak.

The duo will take on the race with a newly built Monster Energy Can-Am Maverick X3 in the UTV Pro Stock class. Coming off a strong month of racing and putting over 4000 miles on the Can-Am Maverick X3, 2 wins, 3 podiums and Trail of Missions, Sara is ready for this next challenge.

Price is set to drive the first half of the race and handing it over to Mitchell around mile 250. Alsup will drive the second half and cross the finish line, the pair will be using Waypoint Navigation notes and Eric Sheetz will be navigating the entire 500 miles. Sheetz who won navigating alongside Sara at the Mint 400 will be back in the co-driver seat for both Mitchell and Sara. A Proven Winning Team.

Since 2016, Mitchell Alsup has managed, drove and operated race teams, finding success both in SCORE and USA sanctioned race series. In 2020, Mitchell would sign with Factory Can-am conquer multiple championships in the BITD series. Further in 2020, Mitchell would team up with Can-am Teammate Matt Burroughs capturing the 2020 SCORE Overall Championship, later to build Burrough’s current 2022 SCORE Champion Can-am X3. Sara is no stranger with the SCORE International series she won the 2019 Trophy Truck Spec Championship and “ironwomaned”driving every mile of the series that year to secure the championship and coming 2nd overall in the entire series behind Andy Mcmillen. This year will mark her first participation in the UTV Pro Stock class.’’

About Sara Price

Named the 2016 Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Rising Star, Sara Price’s racing career started on dirt in motocross, where she went on to join Monster Energy Kawasaki as the first factory-supported female racer. She began racing dirt bikes at the age of eight and collected 19 amateur titles and medaled in Women’s Super X at the 2010 X Games. She holds the record as the most winning female amateur to date.

The versatile competitor in 2012 had switched to 4 Wheels and started racing UTVs where she campaigned the WORCS series, Lucas Oil Regional shortcourse Series, and became the first American UTV Team to compete in the toughest all-female sporting event on the planet the Rally Aicha Des Gazelles in Morocco, Africa in 2015, and went on to finish the Terracross Championship undefeated to take the Women’s Championship that same year. In 2016, Price took on six races in Stadium SUPER Truck Series and became the first woman ever to lead laps in that championship. Sara then, went on competing with RPM Offroad in a Trophy Truck Spec. down in Baja Mexico in the SCORE International Desert Series. In 2019, Sara Price became the first-ever woman to win the SCORE International Trophy Truck Spec championship, the first-ever woman to IronWoman the TT Spec class and finish and the first-ever woman to finish 2nd in the overall championship in SCORE International. In the year of 2021, Sara signed as the first ever female on Chip Ganassi Racing team for the Extreme-E series, she then made history as the First Female in CGR Program History to win a race. In 2023, she won the Mint 400, the Sonora Rally, the Norra 1000 and earned her entry to Dakar 2024. When she isn’t racing, Price works as a stunt professional apart of the SAG-AFTRA Union, performing on motorcycles, and in vehicles and as a stunt performer for television and film you see worldwide today.
