Shingle Springs, CA (March 3, 2010) – Crowley Off-Road is proud to announce that Pit Bull Tires has signed on as their tire sponsor for the 2010 VORRA race season. Although Pit Bull Tires is new to the UTV market, they have been making serious LT off-road tires for many years and have a great track record  on some of the most powerful rigs and in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth.

The Pit Bull ROCKER® UBER™ XOR™ is probably the toughest, most versatile multi-conditions UTV radial tire on the market. Rugged, aggressive and designed to handle serious UTV applications. “We chose the 26.5″ Rocker XOR tire for the King of the Hammers UTV race because they are 8 ply, taller than a normal 26″ tire (which translates to more ground clearance) and the lugs are incredible for traction in the rocks,” commented Jon Crowley,  owner of the #1965 Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx. “With a mix of desert and rock crawling, the King of the Hammers UTV race can be torture on tires. The Pit Bulls did not let us down during the race and that says a lot about how tough they are.”

“The VORRA series is unique because it combines desert races in Northern Nevada with several short course races at Prairie City,” said Crowley. “This series really tests a vehicle’s versatility and we are looking forward to racing on Pit Bull Tires.”

The #1965 Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx is scheduled to compete in the opening round of the VORRA season on March 20 – 21, 2010 at Prairie City SVRA.
