Jon and Teresa’s Epic Cross Country Adventure

Can-Am Maverick X3

By Jon Crowley

My wife Teresa and I love to travel, and we concocted a plan to get out and explore the country. We packed up the truck and loaded our Can-Am Maverick X3 on the back and headed out April 15, 2021 for a month.

Ford F-350 with Truck Rack

We decided to travel as nimble as possible, putting our Can-Am Maverick X3 up on our alpine Designs truck rack loaded in the bed of our For F-350.

Before we left, we created a Facebook Group to capture our adventures: Jon & Teresa’s Epic Adventures.

Our farthest east destination was West Virginia and we traveled through the following states:
California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Virgina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Colorado.

We also visited these National Parks along the way:
Zion, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Saguaro, White Sands, Guadalupe Mountain,  Carlsbad Caverns, Hot Spring, Great Smoky Mountains, Gateway Arch National Park, Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Arches and Canyonlands.

Our off-road destinations included:

  • Sand Hollow, Utah
  • Toroweap, Grand Canyon National Park
  • Little Sahara, OK
  • Mount Magazine, AR

  • Moab, UT for Rally on the Rocks.

This trip is made possible with the help of Can-Am Off-Road, Rugged Radios, SSV Works and System 3 Offroad.
