After a long summer break, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is back at the Speedworld Off Road Park here in Surprise, AZ. Presenting this weekend’s action will be the fine folks at Canidae All Natural Pet Foods, and while fans are treated to a rousing show at every Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event, those in attendance this weekend will have several extra reasons to go home with a big smile on their faces.
Kicking things off this weekend will be the pre race party at Buffalo Wild Wings in Surprise, just minutes down the road from Speedworld. The fun will be happening on Friday night, and many of the biggest names in short course will be on hand to sign autographs, so don’t miss out. Then on Saturday and Sunday, make sure you get yourself into the stands for Rounds 11 and 12, as the championship points battles are really heating up. Five of the classes competing have their top two drivers separated by ten points or less, and even those drivers who have more comfortable points margins will have to hold off those very hungry racers chasing from further back. Gates open at 9:00 am both days, so don’t be late!

Adding to the excitement this weekend will be new class debuts for two young UTV talents. Unlimited UTV points leader Austin Kimbrell will unleash his new Pro Lite Unlimited here in Surprise, while RJ Anderson (Unlimited UTV winner in Rounds 1 and 2) will try his hand in a SuperLite. On top of all that, perhaps the biggest news of the weekend will be the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series debut of professional rally racer and 2010 X Games double gold medalist Tanner Foust, who will be driving the #69 SuperLite for Rockstar Energy Drink. Finally, on Sunday, West Coast Customs will be on hand to present a new custom-built Toyota Tundra to Motocross and FMX superstar Jeff “Ox” Kargola, courtesy of General Tire.
