Mesa, AZ June 27, 2011 — DragonFire Racing has a history of being the innovators in the UTV market. “Yoshimura has always exceeded our extreme expectations when it comes to exhaust system know-how,” says DragonFire’s GM, Scott Highland. “However the features engineered into these stunning systems are amazing.” Proof is in the results as these pipes provide power gains throughout the entire RPM range, particularly when paired with the PIM 2 fuel management system.
“The engineering group really focused on the sound,” Highland adds. “By utilizing a resonator chamber, they were able to keep power output high, but noise level low.” The resulting rich exhaust note is within a couple decibels of stock, while uncorking several more horsepower.
Not only does the DFR/Yoshimura Exhaust setup outperform stock pipes, they are typically lighter than the stock exhaust found on your average Kawasaki Teryx, Can-Am Commander, Polaris RZR or RZR XP. The 18-gauge stainless steel construction makes for a can that is long lasting, durable and rust-resistant. It also surpasses USFS noise and spark-arrestor specifications, courtesy of top quality Silent Sport muffler packing materials.
“Form follows function as they say,” adds Highland. “With the custom DFR heat shield, these pipes look like a chrome anaconda snaking it’s way through your engine… Absolutely breathtaking!”
