VALCOURT, QUEBEC, CANADA, Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 – Russian Fedor Vorobeyev and American Corry Weller each secured an off-road racing championship in the Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle this past weekend, adding to more titles to the brand’s successful 2019 season.

“We won two more global championships with the Can-Am Maverick X3 in two totally different disciplines, which again speaks to the Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle’s no-compromise and versatile design,” said Jeff Leclerc, manager Can-Am racing department. “The vehicle gives all racers the potential to compete at every event they enter, but in the hands of talented pilots like Mr. Vorobeyev and Mrs. Weller is where you one can really see the advantages of its precision engineering and its race-winning design.”

Weller Repeats as LOORRS Champion

Corry Weller qualified in the top three Friday to set herself up for a big weekend. The reigning champion earned a podium finish Saturday and then the victory on Sunday at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in her home state of Arizona to earn back-to-back Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Production UTV Turbo class championships.

“We did it. We won the LOORRS Prod Turbo UTV Championship again and defended that No. 1 plate. We knew going into this year that defending our championship would be a challenge. Our class is growing in numbers and the level of competition is growing with it,” said Weller, who is also a contender to win the 2019 Lucas Oil Regional AZ Series title. “A huge thanks to Can-Am Off-Road for all of their support over the last two years to help make these championships possible. The Maverick X3 is such a great platform and BRP is such a great company that loves the sport.
