Farmers Insurance Polaris RZR XP 900
September 2011
This beautifully done Polaris RZR XP was the brainchild of Jeff St. Clair of
St. Clair Insurance Agency. Farmers Insurance has been a major player in the
off-road specialty insurance market for years and Jeff is a Farmers Insurance
agent that is not only an avid off-roader, but also focuses on coverage for
off-road toys.
As one of the gurus in this market, Jeff approached the marketing
folks at corporate about having a vehicle to use to draw in some
extra attention to this market. After some long discussions,
Jeff was successful and the next step was to decided on a vehicle
and customization.
Jeff wanted something that would attract attention, and decided
on a 2011 Polaris RZR XP. The
RZR XP is a new high performance model for Polaris in 2011,
and is perfectly suited for Jeff's clients in the Southern
California area. Next up was to decide on some customization so it
would attract attention. That is where Jeff hooked up with Tim
over at SDR Motorsports.
Tim and his crew build some of the nicest turnkey UTV projects,
so it was no wonder that Jeff made that decision. With the new RZR
XP as the platform, SDR went right to work building a flashy, but
incredibly functional UTV. SDR installed their XP2 cage and roof,
front bumper and super cool suicide opening doors. They then
selected some of the top manufacturers of aftermarket UTV
accessories and really finished the project of nicely.
The RZR XP made its official debut at the
2011 Sand Sports Super Show
in September. Jeff was super pleased with the attention that the UTV
brought into his booth and he and Farmers are discussing where and
how to utilize it even more.
The RZR XP is also featured in the
2012 UTVs in the Wild
Calendar.
It is great for companies on the fringe of the UTV market to make
such an effort to focus on UTV owners. In the end, it helps them
understand our needs more thoroughly and gives us a better product.
