Fuel prices are astronomical!

Fuel Prices - April 2008 on the way to Sand Mountain

Fuel prices are through the roof! $4.35 a gallon for diesel in Placerville, CA.

For such a nice weekend, the crowd was smaller than it should have been at Sand Mountain.  It will be interesting to see how the cost of gas/diesel will affect trips to the dunes.

Several small mines to explore.  The ones we saw did not go in very far at all.

Trail markers at Sand Mountain
Lots of new trail markers at Sand Mountain.  It is truly a bummer to see such a wonderful place ruined by the BLM and extreme environmentalists. BLM can now issue tickets for riding in closed areas, so be careful out there.

Our Kawasaki Teryx Buildup Project is just beginning.

We started the project on our last trip to Glamis with a completely stock Teryx.  After a bit of riding around, we swapped to a set of Bilstein stock replacement shocks.  The ride was much better.

On this trip, we tested a CDI fromVelocity Devices and exhaust from MonsterPipe.
