After the Santa Ana winds earlier in the week, the dunes are pristine.
Blake from UTV Mayhem and I went to check out the progress of the new border
fence. Blake wasn't too happy about driving on concrete with his
paddle tires.
I have been testing out a 2009 Polaris RZR S for a future article in
Sand
Addiction Magazine. For a stock UTV, the RZR S is a real performer in the
dunes.
Hanging out in Patton Valley with some of the guys from
RhinoTalk.net. Max Powers let me take
his Rotax powered Yamaha Rhino for a spin.
Predator Motor Corporation was out with their X-18 Intimidator sand
car. I was lucky enough to take one for a drive. Look for a full

This poor guy ended up in the canal by the start of the sand drags.
Desert Recovery fished the car out of the canal after a few days.
This Arctic Cat Prowler had a turbocharged Rotax in it and was hauling the
mail at Test Hill.
