| Sand Mountain – Spring Break 2013
By Jon Crowley, UTVGuide.net I loaded our trailer with our RZR XP and Kawasaki Teryx and headed to Sand Mountain, Nevada with the kids for Spring Break. We arrived on a Tuesday, and the camping area was pretty empty. We were out with several other families from our area. Mostly ATVs, but our buddy Dave was there with his RZR XP as well. This was a nice, low-key family trip for me. I focused on working on driving techniques with my kids. How to read the dunes and transition through them instead of over them in a straight line. Our Kawasaki Teryx and RZR XP ran flawless. Great fun! 2013 Polaris RZR XP

Military Vehicle Training:
On Thursday, there was some training going on with these military vehicles at Sand Mountain. The vehicle is a highly modified Toyota 4×4 crew cab. The vehicles featured a Cummins diesel engine, Dana 60 rear-end and an armored cab. They had a course setup and were training on how to manage momentum in the sand. Not an easy task for these 12,000 pound machines! More Photos:
