Lacrecia Beurrier Steps Up To The Unlimited Pro Class
Chandler, AZ February 18, 2015 – With $100,000 on the line, the UTV World Championship set to take place February 19th through the 21st, is drawing all the heavy hitters to Laughlin, Nevada, hoping to strike it rich. It also affords DragonFire-sponsored racer Lacrecia Beurrier a chance to pull out all the stops, literally.
Buerrier, the former Mint 400 Sportsman Class winner is removing the restrictions and moving up to the Unlimited Pro UTV Class starting with the UTV World Championship and continuing through the 2015 Best In The Desert series. “We wanted to make a real statement,” says Lacrecia of her move up to an unlimited machine.
“Where better than the UTV World Championship to step things up? My Polaris RZR-based racer was already plenty fast, but the CP-Carrillo big bore kit makes this car a real fire breather,” she adds. Lacrecia is going to need the extra horsepower to compete with the anything goes — including aftermarket superchargers and high-performance motorcycle engines — Unlimited Class.
A brand new addition to the off-road racing schedule, the event actually features two world class UTV races in one: a Best In The Desert Championship points race, and a short course Production UTV Championship race. In addition to the $100,000 purse, Polaris RZR will be awarding the winner of both races a new Polaris RZR XP1000!
“This event was created with two goals in mind,” explains UTVUnderground.com CEO “Joey D.” DiGiovanni. “Number one was to give the sport an event that we could be proud of and claim as our own. Number two was to give the racers an event where they were treated as the pros that they are.”

This two-time Mint 400 winner races for a reason she is out to honor the survival, determination and compassion of those fighting breast cancer. The pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness is not something Lacrecia just slapped on the car last October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “Racing For The Cure is where it all started for me,” she says. “My first race in my old Rhino was a charity event to raise money for the program.” Lacrecia quickly went from charity events and powderpuff racing to the real deal, competing in what is billed as America’s toughest off-road race, the Mint 400! Not only did she finish the race, she won the Sportsman UTV class first time out and then came back to successfully defend her title… proudly running pink trim for both her Mint 400 wins. She is a true champion, on and off track — when she is not ripping it up on the race course, Lacrecia’s “real” job is as a registered nurse in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
