STI Draws a Crowd at the Sand Sports Super Show

A good barometer on the state of the U.S. economy has always been the Sand Sports Super Show. It has been for the last 13 years, anyway. This mid-September event, held at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, has turned into one of the most important powersports expositions in the country, and over the years we’ve learned that if the show and its hundreds of exhibitors are doing well, the nation’s consumers are too.

So it’s gratifying to report that the 14th edition of the Sand Show was one of the best ever. In 2012 we saw some of the largest, most enthusiastic crowds ever. Smiling exhibitors. Grinning sales reps. In a word, everyone was stoked (this is SoCal of course).

Shiny happy people were certainly in abundance around the STI Tire & Wheel display. STI has it going on right now, with a steady flow of new products and a rapidly growing industry presence. That fact was hammered home by the first public appearance of the – drumroll, please – Roctane XD radial tire line.
The all-new Roctane XD turned a lot of heads, especially when fitted on a specially-prepped Kawasaki Teryx in the STI display. Folks flocked in for details. We’ll be ready to provide them soon, when the tire is ready for its formal release.
