Seven Essentials For Mud Riding from Can-Am

Almost every little kid has discovered true enjoyment from jumping into pools of rainwater, making mud pies or ruining a new pair of sneakers in a recently formed mud puddle. Mud has forever enticed both humans and animals alike to frolic in it, whether out of necessity or just for play. While it’s one thing to take a stroll in the muck bare foot, it’s an entirely different adventure to drive a vehicle into it – it’s a much bigger commitment! Sure, mud riding is not for everyone, but it’s hugely popular and downright entertaining when done correctly.

The Can-Am store offers off-road enthusiasts several parts, accessories and products for venturing into the mud.

In order to succeed in the slop and enjoy it, we have a short list of Can-Am parts and accessories to help you and your Can-Am ATV and side-by-side vehicle conquer the mud. This style of riding requires proper preparation for man and machine, a stable mentality, strategic driving and, finally, meticulous cleaning and maintenance.

Whether it's a side-by-side vehicle or ATV, off-road mud riding can be fun and enjoyable when done properly and with the correct accessories.

ACCESSORIES
1. Snorkel Kits
For both hard-core recreational boggers and competitive racers, snorkel kits are a must have accessory. We offer kits for both the ATVs and SSVs. Purpose built for tackling muddy conditions, the comprehensive ATV Snorkel Kit comes complete with an extended air intake and new extended CVT inlet and outlet exhaust conveniently integrated into the upper gauge pod cover. This optimal location puts the intake and exhaust outlets as high above the mud as possible.

2. Radiator Relocator Kit
The Radiator Relocator Kit for certain Can-Am ATVs repositions the radiator to a top mount position to greatly reduce cooling performance loss due to muddy conditions. The kit reuses the radiator, but includes the necessary hardware and hoses for the relocation.

3. Mudguard Kit
Think of the ATV Mudguard Kit as way to protect both you and others from flying mud and debris. The thermoformed plastic fender extensions (except 715001764 – made of injected plastic) fit seamlessly with the stock plastic for a larger, more protective swath to reduce the amount of spray reaching the driver and passenger.
