Polaris EV LSV
Polaris EV LSV Information:
This past January, Polaris Defense announced the
introduction of a Low Speed Vehicle, the Polaris EV LSV, designed for
on-road use. For model year 2011, Polaris will offer the same vehicle for
civilian purchase as well.
“The Polaris EV LSV has garnered great interest with
military and government agencies,”
said Matt Homan, vice president and
general manager of Polaris’ Off-Road division.
“We’re excited to introduce
the vehicle to the civilian market for applications that require on-road
capabilities.”
Based off the Polaris Midsize Side-by-Side platform, the
Polaris EV LSV, includes the necessary features to classify the vehicle as a
LSV per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, such as a horn,
turn signals, automotive-quality windshield and rear view mirror. With its
