Can Am releases 2010 model info. No Side x Side on the list.

Can Am BRP
We were hoping that Can Am would release their new side x side as a 2010 with the rest of the updates on May 29, 2009, but there is no news about a UTV.

Now it is not unheard of to release a new product part way through a model year, so that is what we will have to hope the Can Am does.

Most are hoping that Can Am comes out with a side by side that competes with the RZR S, and nothing would make me happier.

2010 Can Am Model Press Release:
Valcourt, Quebec (5/29/2009) - BRP's 2010 Can-Am ATV line-up features the industry's first air-controlled suspension system (ACS) and a new Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) with dual-mode, speed-sensitive power assist, and next-generation Visco-Lok QE automatic front differential.
While the Can-Am ATV brand continues to strengthen its position as the enthusiast ATV line, BRP's 2010 models bring even more value through innovation to the ATV industry. Features like bringing user control to power steering through its dual-mode, speed-sensitive DPS system and a six-way adjustable air-controlled suspension system give ATV enthusiasts more control over the riding experience.
Never have the reasons for the ATV enthusiast to buy a Can-Am product been stronger than in this year's ATV line-up. Can-Am ATVs always feature the most power, sharpest handling and best design in the industry, and now, BRP brings new technologies that inject unprecedented value into ATV riding.
“Our brand is more than ever poised to give the consumer what they demand most right now: value and innovation,” said Yves Leduc, vice-president and general manager, North American Sales & Marketing Can-Am and After-Sales Operations. “In 2010, BRP brings exclusive technologies to the industry and strengthens its position as the brand that continues to innovate while delivering on its promise as the choice for the ATV enthusiast,” he added.
BRP's Can-Am products provide innovation not only through its technologies, but through its value-added packages as well. For 2010, enthusiast's favorite options into the XT™ and the new XT-P packages that include items like DPS, winch, premium tires and wheels, front and rear bumpers result in unprecedented value for the discerning customer.
In 2010, BRP once again proves to the world that the product is king," said Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, BRP International division. "Can Am provides greater power, better control and even more stunning looks than ever with its 2010 ATVs. It is what we believe ATV enthusiasts are looking for."

New E-Series Amber LED Light a Must Have for Dust and Fog

Rigid Industries E-Series Amber LED
Rigid Industries E-Series Amber LED

Mesa, AZ – Rigid Industries new Amber E-Series LED led the Bradley Racing Class 8 truck to a first place finish in the Dos Mares 500 held in La Paz, Mexico. The Dos Mares 500 has a long history in Baja California Sur desert offroad racing and if the grueling course wasn’t enough of a test, heavy dust at night was.
“The dust was so thick that Class 1 cars that started in front of us had to slow down,” said Tom Bradley. “I turned off all lights except our new amber LED, and was able to pass all but three Class 1 cars in heavy dust. With a fourth place finish overall, everything has to fall into place just right. The amber LED lights made the difference this time for Bradley Racing.”
The new amber light is the newest addition to the E-Series family of LEDs made by Rigid Industries. The E-Series Amber LED shines just as far as the regular E-Series LED, but in an amber color to reduce the glare from dust or fog.
E-series LED lights are available in 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 inch lengths and just like all E-Series LEDs, the new Amber series is one of the toughest and most dependable LED lights on the market.
Whether you drive a UTV in the fog at Pismo, a sand car in the dust in Glamis or a Class 8 truck in heavy dust during the Dos Mares 500, the E-Series Amber LED from Rigid Industries will help you navigate through the low visibility conditions.
About Rigid Industries:
As the manufacturer of the E-series LED light bars, the brightest and most efficient LED light, Rigid Industries has raised the bar on lighting technology for off-road vehicles.
Rigid Industries is located in Mesa, Arizona and can be reached by phone at 480.655.0100 or on the internet at www.rigidindustries.com.

Kubota Promotes Utility Vehicle Safety to Help Reduce Accidents Nationwide

Kubota RTV
National Safety Month Provides Timely Safety Reminder for All Equipment Users

TORRANCE, Calif. (May 26, 2009) – June brings with it warmer, longer days and more time spent working outside and enjoying the great outdoors. While the summer sun may make you feel carefree, it is as important as ever to be careful, particularly when operating equipment.
June is the National Safety Council’s National Safety Month, and Kubota Tractor Corporation wants to take this time to remind all equipment users – and especially utility vehicle drivers and riders – to always make time for safety.
Due to the increased popularity of utility vehicles, reported cases of serious injury and death from unsafe operation of utility vehicles have risen, according to the NSC’s Agricultural Division. All too often, these unfortunate utility vehicle accidents happen; and, sadly, are attributed to improper use by a driver or passenger. Kubota is reinforcing important recommendations and safety rules to help keep utility vehicle operators safe this summer and throughout the year:
· Always read the owner’s manual carefully before using a utility vehicle.
· Heed all warning labels posted on the utility vehicle; all warnings and instructions included within the owner’s manual; and/or safe operating manuals or videos.
· Utility vehicles are for off-road use and should not be operated on highways, streets or other paved roads.
· Seatbelt use is imperative when driving and riding in a utility vehicle.
· Drive at safe speeds and stay alert to the changing terrain.
· Utility vehicles, depending upon the model, are designed to carry a specific number of riders other than the driver. Be certain to allow only the recommended number of riders to match the seatbelts in place for the specific utility vehicle.
· Utility vehicles are not toys and not for kids. Owners need to take extreme care to keep their families safe and allow only those who meet the manufacturer’s guidelines for operation and who understand the safe operating instructions to drive the vehicle.
· Follow all directions included in the owner’s manual regarding any riding gear, clothing or helmet recommendations, dependent upon utility vehicle model and manufacturer.
· Inspect all tires, wheels and attachments to make sure they are in good working condition.

“Kubota encourages utility vehicle owners – and all equipment operators – to wear seatbelts, heed safety warnings, and help promote safe operating practices with family and friends,” says Greg Embury, vice president of sales and marketing, Kubota Tractor Corporation. “Though safety is something that must be practiced year round, National Safety Month provides us all with an excellent reminder to brush up on our safety practices before we use tractors, lawn and garden equipment, construction equipment and utility vehicles.”

When it comes to tractor safety, Kubota strongly recommends customers be sure that older tractors and equipment have a seatbelt and Rollover Protection Structure (ROPS) to provide a protective zone around the operator – greatly reducing the chances of serious injury in the case of a rollover accident. Kubota has provided a ROPS as standard equipment since 1985. Owners of early Kubota tractor models can visit www.kubota.com to utilize a ROPS and seatbelt installation function that will allow them to submit their tractor’s model and serial number to obtain retrofit pricing for eligible models from their local Kubota dealer.
To date, Kubota dealers throughout the country have installed more than 11,000 ROPS retrofits. According to the NSC, if all tractors were equipped with a ROPS and a seatbelt, about 350 lives could potentially be saved each year.
Kubota supports safety education for its customers and their families by sponsoring the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day™ educational program, part of an effort designed to make safety education and training available for children year-round. Now in its 15th year, the program will conduct more than 350 Safety Day events in 2009 across the United States and Canada. In 2008, the programs reached more than 84,000 children and adults in rural communities, and to date has touched the lives of more than 740,000 participants.
Additional information about Kubota’s support of the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day education program and safety information including Kubota’s “Ten Commandments of Tractor Safety,” a tractor safety coloring book, and informational safety video “It’s a Family Affair” can be found at the Kubota Web site, www.kubota.com.
Kubota Tractor Corporation, Torrance, Calif., is the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota-branded equipment, including a complete line of tractors up to 118 PTO hp, performance-matched implements, compact and utility-class construction equipment, consumer lawn and garden equipment, commercial turf products and utility vehicles. Gov. Jim Gibbons plans to veto a bill that would require owners of off-road vehicles to register them.

The bill has widespread support from array of interests including the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association, the Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada, Nevada Cattleman’s Association, the Nevada Farm Bureau, Nevada Conservation League and Nevada Association of Counties. “Victory Motorcycles, with its strong brand recognition and customer loyalty, will be one of the major components of our new On-Road Vehicle Division that we’re announcing today,” said Scott Wine, Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Industries. “This new division will support our efforts to be the ‘Best in Powersports’ and continue building on our strong on-road brands and global market leadership in this critical space.”

Several organizational changes that set the foundation of the On-Road Vehicle Division are also being announced today. Intended to further strengthen the company in the on-road marketplace, these management moves put the new division in the best possible position to sustain profitable growth and long-term success.

First among these changes is Mark Blackwell’s new role as Vice President of Motorcycles. Blackwell has spent the past eight years leading day-to-day operations for Victory Motorcycles and played a key role in building the brand from an unknown startup into a highly regarded competitor considered to be among the worlds finest. Under Blackwell’s leadership, Victory has expanded into markets outside the United States and is well-positioned for long term success. Blackwell’s deep knowledge of products and markets in the motorcycle industry will continue to be an invaluable asset to the Victory brand and all other on-road vehicles.

Mike Jonikas, currently Vice President, Sales & Corporate Marketing has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice President of the On-Road Vehicle Division. In this position, Jonikas will be responsible for rapidly growing the on-road business for Polaris including strategic direction for Victory Motorcycles, and any on-road adjacencies we may add in the future. Jonikas brings proven skills to the On-Road Vehicle Division that include leading business teams to profitable growth, developing new markets and successful commercialization of new products. He will continue to lead our Sales & Corporate Marketing teams. During the past nine years, Jonikas has succeeded in several key roles with Polaris including Director of Product & Marketing Management for ATV, the first General Manager of the Polaris side-by-side business, and eventually as Vice President Sales & Corporate Marketing, overseeing the creation and phased roll-out of the Max Velocity Program.

Steve Menneto has been promoted to the position of General Manager of Victory Motorcycles, to lead profitable sales growth for this business. Since joining Polaris in 1997, Menneto has risen quickly, and has demonstrated a strong knowledge for strategic planning and increasing business profitability. Additional experience in positions such as Region Sales Manager, Director of Dealer Development and Director of North American Sales developed Menneto’s deep understanding of Victory’s dealer network and his keen eye for the competitive environment at the dealership level for on-road vehicles.

“The Victory Motorcycles brand was essentially built from scratch through tireless work in the past ten years,” said Bennett Morgan, Chief Operating Officer of Polaris Industries. “Now, by combining the diverse strengths of Mark, Mike and Steve to further develop our long-term strategies in the On-Road Vehicle Division, we are positioning ourselves for continued growth both in the motorcycle industry and, in the bigger picture, across all segments of the on-road marketplace.”

Polaris is committed to growing its on-road vehicle business through continued growth in the motorcycle industry along with successfully introducing products into other on-road adjacencies in the future. The creation of this new On-Road Vehicle Division reflects efforts to position the company’s key personnel into roles that suit their strengths and allow them to further develop the Polaris business and brands within the on-road market.

Lastly, Judy Kulsrud has been appointed to the position of Director of North American Sales replacing Steve Menneto. Judy has been with Polaris since 1995 and has a broad set of experiences across many functional areas of the business including management positions in Retail Development, Sales Operations, Regional Sales Management, and most recently the position of Director of Dealer Development. Judy has consistently delivered results and been successful in each of these positions.

RMX Turbo Kits for Kubota UTVs

Kubota UTV Turbo Kit
Kubota UTV Turbo Kit

Southwest Ag, Inc. Announces the Release of Generation II (2) RMX Turbo Kits for Kubota Model RTV900 & RTV1100 Utility Terrain Vehicles

Bayfield, CO—Southwest Ag, Inc. (SWAG Inc.) has announced the release of Generation II (2) RMX Turbo Kits for Kubota Model RTV900 & RTV1100 Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV).

With the introduction of the Kubota RTVs in 2004, Southwest Ag Inc. foresaw the need to make adjustments in their performance to compensate for the local 7,000-foot altitude. The company considered it vital to make sure the units operated efficiently at over 12,000 feet.

The initial intent was only to compensate for the high altitude, and the first generation of kits did exactly that. But upon extensive testing, these modifications worked exceptionally well at much lower altitudes also.

Results: With over 150 installations completed, there haven’t been any adverse engine failures caused by the modifications. In fact, the engine excels with the added intake pressure and the adjustments to the fuel settings. Secondarily, the hydrostat pressure is increased to place more power to the ground instead of the transmission bypassing over relief pressure.

Southwest Ag, Inc.’s second-generation kits perform even better, are easier to install and cost less.

Other benefits include:
- Great power at all altitudes
- Adjustable Wastegate
- Stainless steel construction
- Professional technical support

Installation of the New RMX Turbo kit is offered from many Kubota Dealers in the US as well as Canada with a target installed price of around $3,000.

Pro Armor Kawasaki Teryx Podiums at Blue Water Grand Prix

Pro Armor Kawasaki Teryx Built By Side X Side Outfitterz Podiums at Blue Water Grand Prix

Riverside, CA, (5/14/2009)- The Pro Armor Kawasaki Teryx Built by Side X Side Outfitterz finishes third this weekend at the Blue Water Grand Prix and takes the season points lead. Under extreme temperatures this past weekend in Parker, AZ and a late afternoon start time of 3:30pm, the race called for six laps at 10 miles each. The plan for the team was to take it nice and easy in the early part of the race. With a traditional Grand Prix start, 16 UTVs side by side would make for some interesting racing action as they all headed for the first corner. "We knew we had a fast car and could run in the front of the pack, so we made sure we had a clean start and worked our way to the front of the pack" said driver Mike Lasher. After the first corner the team was in the 12th spot. Starting in the back made for some intense dust and gave them a slower first lap. By the time the first lap was completed the team had already moved into 5th place. As the laps continued to count down and competitors began to have problems, the Pro Armor Teryx continued on its pace and battled the 10 mile course that was getting rougher and rougher with each lap. Running at an average of only 29mph, this race showed how slow the pace was given the conditions. The Blue Water Grand Prix put on by Best in the Desert had an outstanding variety of terrain to travel through. The team battled silt beds, rocks, water, mud, gravel, sand, steep ridges, and even had to navigate through an old house that was part of the racecourse. The CST Performance +3" long travel kit and Fox Racing Shox really made a nice addition in the tight confines of the house as other vehicles were taking out walls due to their width. The suspension was able to soak up the rough terrain of the Parker desert without missing a beat allowing the team to run in the front of the pack all day. When the dust cleared the Pro Armor Teryx had moved into third position and was one of only 4 cars to complete all 6 laps. Finishing in the third position at the Blue Water Grand Prix, moved the team into the first position in the season points standings and also opened up the biggest lead of the year. The next race on the schedule for the team is the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno "the long way" which will be 1000 miles spread out over three days in the Nevada desert August 20-22, 2009.For more photos and information on the Pro Armor Kawasaki Teryx built by Side X Side Outfitterz you can visit www.lashermotorsports.com
Team Sponsors include: Kawasaki, Pro Armor, Side X Side Outfitterz, OMF Performance, CST Performance, ITP Tires, Fox Racing Shox, Beard Seats, Muzzy's, K&N, Simpson, Lockmann Precision, and Side X Side Action Magazine.

Billet Roller Cage for Polaris RZR Front Differential

The Holz Racing Products Billet Roller Cage for the RZR/RZR-S front diff is machined to precise tolerances from aerospace grade aluminum that has been treated with military spec hard coat anodizing for better wear and lubricity which equals longer life and better operation. This is the only aftermarket billet roller cage available that is pre-assembled with new rollers and springs. The stock unit is made from injection molded plastic and is prone to failure even under normal conditions.
The Competition? The Holz billet roller cage has twice the tensile strength of the competitors 6061-T6 aluminum cages. With some competitors aftermarket cages, there can be some confusion with the proper orientation of parts when trying to assemble the cage using the stock rollers and springs. Reusing the factory springs is not recommended as this will stress the springs and make them weaker. Having new springs and rollers pre-installed, like on the Holz billet cage, eliminates any of these problems and makes the install nearly impossible to mess up.The Holz billet roller cage comes with a 2-year part replacement warranty.

Professionals for Managed Recreation Formed

Group Comprised of Retired Federal Land Managers Supports Sustainable Recreation

Washington, D.C., May 5, 2009 - A new group, Professionals for Managed Recreation (PMR), has been formed to promote environmentally sustainable, managed recreation. PMR is comprised of retired land management officials who favor access for managed, responsible motorized recreation on public lands. Each of the officials has extensive experience in successfully managing off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation on a National Forest and/or Bureau of Land Management unit.
The new group's mission statement is, "Professionals for Managed Recreation is committed to encouraging, promoting and expanding sustainable OHV recreation through training, advocacy and on-the-ground management activities. PMR's website is hosted by Americans for Responsible Recreational Access and can be found here: http://www.arra-access.com/arra/pmr-home.html.
Tom Crimmins, lead PMR spokesman and retired Forest Service official of 32 years, stated, "Professionals for Managed Recreation presents an opportunity to convey that with proper management, OHV trail systems can be fun, challenging, and most importantly, sustainable."
Crimmins authored Management Guidelines for Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation, which can be downloaded from the PMR website for free. The book discusses approaches to OHV recreation management to meet both land manager and rider objectives. Topics addressed include route planning, trail design and active management, with many specific examples.
Currently, four other retired land managers join Crimmins as members of PMR. Crimmins stated, "We have a great core of experienced land managers who have all successfully managed OHV programs on public lands. We know there are more folks like us out there who, by definition, are retired but remain actively engaged in promoting sustainable management techniques, and we encourage them to be a part of PMR."
Crimmins concluded, "Closure is not the only option for land managers dealing with OHV recreation. In fact in nearly every case responsible, active management is the real solution. Each member of PMR has experience in managing sustainable OHV trail systems and it is that experience that we would like to share."

LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System now available for UTVs

Increasingly Popular Off Road Vehicles Benefits from LoJack’s Radio Frequency Technology and Integration with Law Enforcement for Recovery

WESTWOOD, MA—May 6, 2009— LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN), the premier worldwide provider of tracking and recovery systems, today announced that its Ruggedized Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) System is now available for Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) – side-by-side, off-road vehicles that can carry up to six passengers. UTVs join construction equipment and commercial vehicles already protected by LoJack’s Ruggedized SVR System.

The 12-Volt LoJack Ruggedized System is comprised of a self-contained, one-piece housing unit that holds an internal antenna, transmitter and backup battery and is designed to handle the rigors of off-road riding. Water, dust and chemical resistant, the LoJack System is covertly installed in one of many possible locations on a UTV. The transmitter uses Radio Frequency technology, which can penetrate dense trees, underground locations or steel or concrete structures. Also part of the system are Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in police vehicles, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft and are used to track and recovery stolen UTVs.

“The popularity of UTVs in North America has greatly increased as sales in North America jumped 155 percent* from 2002 to 2007. As such, we are very pleased to offer UTV enthusiasts a powerful solution to protect their valuable assets,” said Ronald V. Waters, LoJack’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Today’s riders are investing thousands of dollars into their UTVs and our experience shows us that increased popularity traditionally translates into increased theft. Thus, our Ruggedized Stolen Vehicle Recovery System addresses a market need for effective theft protection solutions for UTVs.”
How LoJack Works The Ruggedized LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System utilizes a small wireless radio-frequency transceiver that is hidden in a UTV in one of many possible locations at the time of purchase. To participating law enforcement agencies LoJack donates Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in police cars, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Once a UTV is reported stolen to the police, the vehicle’s identification number is matched to the LoJack System’s registration number by state law enforcement computers. After the match, the LoJack System is activated by police, which causes the small, hidden radio transceiver in the UTV to emit a silent signal. Law enforcement vehicles and aircraft equipped with LoJack PTCs follow these signals, which lead to the precise location of the stolen UTV. In more than 20 years, LoJack has recovered more than $5 billion in stolen assets worldwide.LoJack AvailabilityTo purchase the Ruggedized LoJack System directly or to find the location of the nearest participating UTV dealer, customers should contact LoJack at 1-800-4-LOJACK (1-800-456-5225). The suggested retail price for the 12-Volt Ruggedized LoJack System is $795, which is a one-time charge with no recurring fees.

About LoJack Corporation
LoJack Corporation, the company that invented the stolen vehicle recovery market more than two decades ago, is the global leader in finding and recovering a wide range of mobile assets including cars, construction equipment and motorcycles – having recovered more than $5 billion USD in stolen assets worldwide. In today’s rapidly changing world, LoJack’s core competencies are more valuable and more relevant than ever as they are now being applied into new areas, such as the prevention, detection and recovery of stolen cargo and finding and rescuing people with cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s and autism. LoJack has the proven processes, ultimate technology for recovery – Radio Frequency – and unique integration with law enforcement agencies, making its offerings the most effective solutions that not only deliver a wide range of recoveries, but also enhance the safety of the public on a global level. LoJack’s Stolen Vehicle Recovery System operates in 27 states and the District of Columbia, and in more than 30 countries throughout North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Mark Holz took the “UTV Class 1” and overall to add to his first-place series point standings. Holz entered the race coming off of a win at the Best in the Desert, “Terrible’s 250,” in Primm Nevada, proving the flexibility of his RANGER RZR S.

The Holz Racing Products, Kroyer Racing Engines powered Polaris RZR driven by Mark Holz, continued its winning form in World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) competition with another victory in the Pro UTV class in Milford, California. The win marked the third victory in just four races for Holz, as he leads the year-end point battle with four races remaining on the season.

“There is a big difference between the short course WORCS series and long course desert racing but my RANGER RZR S does great in both,” said Holz. Holz is sponsored by Holz Racing Products, Polaris, Kroyer Racing Engines and Maxxis Tires.

Massive Wilderness Bill Sounds Alarm in Land Use Debate

POCATELLO, ID (May 4) - The BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC), a national trail-based recreation group, states potential passage of a massive Wilderness Bill is sounding an alarm in the access community. BRC credits a House Subcommittee hearing on H.R. 980, the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA), for resurgence in grassroots opposition to legislation limiting recreational access to public lands. "Our phone has been ringing off the hook and our email in-boxes are flooded," said Greg Mumm, BRC's Executive Director. "The recent flurry of Wilderness bills being proposed and/or signed into law has raised a red flag in the access community. Widespread opposition to the massive Wilderness bill is rising among individuals, groups and local governments across the West.
"H.R. 980 was first introduced in 1993 by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and proposes to designate 24 million acres of Wilderness across five Western states, (Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming). The bill has also been described as the modern incarnation of the Wildlands Project, an ambitious proposal first conceived by Dave Foreman, the co-founder of Earth First!. The Wildlands Project would "re-wild" approximately half of North America by outlawing most human use and occupancy. NREPA was referred to the House Committee on Natural Resources and is scheduled for a hearing on May 5, by the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands. http://resourcescommittee.house.gov/index.php?option=com_frontpage&;Itemid=58
Brian Hawthorne, BRC's Public Lands Policy Director, speculated that NREPA was moving up as a priority for recreation advocacy groups, including mountain bike and sporting conservation groups, perhaps because the growing influence of the green lobby on decision-makers in Washington DC. "We don't know if the Wilderness lobby really thinks Congress will let eastern politicians draw lines on maps around lands they've never seen, or if this is a strategic ploy to make smaller scale proposals seem reasonable by comparison. Either way, the recreating public should be on high alert," observed Hawthorne. BRC is urging its members to contact their legislators and express opposition to the passage of NREPA and has provided a portal on their website to easily contact legislators. http://www.sharetrails.org/rapid_response/

BRC is also cautioning its members not to let the hearing on NREPA distract their attention from equally serious threats to access to other public lands. In an email to members today the Coalition stated, "NREPA is perhaps the largest threat to public access to public lands pending in Congress today. However, our members must remember that large, multi-state Wilderness bills are very difficult to pass and there are many smaller bills, each equally unfair in denying public access that need immediate attention by our members and supporters." A few of the smaller initiatives mentioned by the Coalition were:
* H.R.1769 & S. 721 -Alpine Lakes Wilderness expansion in the State of Washington
* Mojave Desert Wilderness bill - Senator Feinstein's effort to designate more Wilderness in San Bernardino, Imperial, and Riverside counties
* H.R.192 Central Idaho Economic Development and Recreation Act (CIEDRA), will designate an additional half million acres of Wilderness in Idaho
* Montana's Beaverhead-Deerlodge Conservation, Restoration and Stewardship Act
* Legislation to designate Johnson Valley a National Recreation Area (BRC is supporting this one!)
* SUWA'S massive Utah Wilderness bill (H.R.1925 and S.799)
* The ongoing county-by-county Wilderness approach currently underway in Nevada, Colorado and Utah
