New Products at the 2018 Sand Sports Super Show

2018 Sand Sports Super Show

This year the Sand Sports Super Show was held September 14-16 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. The show has become all about UTVs and if you want to see new products for the sport UTV market segment, the Sand Show is the place to be.

This is the view of Friday night’s open at the Rugged Radios booth.  Rugged takes a huge spot in the parade of products and has a ton of show specials, so it was fun to do a little time lapse video to show how crowded the show gets.

We scoured the show looking for the latest and greatest, and here is what we found. If you like to see what is happening in real time during some of these UTV events, be sure to follow us on Instagram – @utvguide.

New UTV Models

UTV Manufacturers are on the gas.  With many delivering more that two new models a year, it is an exciting time to be involved in the industry. Polaris, Textron, Can-Am and Yamaha were all big players this year with new sport UTV offerings.  No new sport UTV models for Honda or Kawasaki, but we think that may change during 2019. Next year’s show will hopefully be filled by an even more competitive field of sport UTVs.

2019 Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S

Polaris pushed the limits of engineering when designing the RZR XP 4 Turbo S. From a reinforced chassis to bigger, stronger axles, Polaris incorporated significant performance upgrades and strengthened nearly every component of the machine. The all-new isolated front drive features three times higher impact strength, while the ROPS, control and trailing arms, and radius rods help handle the extreme force produced by this beast of a machine.

The intelligent, industry-leading DYNAMIX Active Suspension system optimizes every inch of the vehicle’s industry-leading 25-inches of Useable Travel before bottoming out on the skid plate.
