Neilsen Rating Reports Improved Figures for Lucas Oil Off Road on CBS Sports

The most recent broadcast took place on Sunday 11/28, 5:00-6:00pm Est. and despite the time slot going up against prime time heavy weights like “NFL on Fox” Lucas Oil Off Road Racing garnered an impressive Nielsen Household Rating of 1.2%. This remarkable figure equates to roughly 1.39 million TVs (approximately 2.78 million viewers) that were tuned into the exciting sport of short course racing. A 70% increase over any previous short course off road race ever.

“Off Road Racing makes for great live entertainment and an excellent TV product.” stated Bob Patison, Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil Products. “This report shows that short course off road racing appeals to a diverse audience. We are still in the early stages and the maximum potential is yet to be revealed. The ratings from the last airing provides some proof that the sport has entered a growth curve.”

“The series is now wrapping up its second year,” explained Tony Vanillo, Race Director of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing operation. “We have worked very hard to build a consistent series and create stability for the sport.
