WHAT: Only the most action-packed short course off road racing over a brand new 1-mile long custom-carved course at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. On Saturday Dec 11, it’s the final race in the 15-race 2010 series where six of the nine championship divisions will be decided at the last race of the year! And then on Sunday the 12th, it’s the Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup; with over $100,000 in cash prizes it’s the richest payday in off road not to mention the all-or-nothing season showdown.
WHEN: Racing both Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12, with practice and qualifying open to the public on Friday, December 10. Gates open to the public at 9:00 AM each day.
WHERE: For the first time ever – Firebird International Raceway just outside Phoenix in Chandler. Lucas Oil’s track team has built a brand new and very wild closed course at Firebird. The just over a mile long circuit has every off-road obstacle that a driver would encounter in 20 miles of desert driving. Sharp jumps, table tops, high-walled bends, bumps, berms, and lots of #airtime# are the order of the day at any Lucas Off Road Race – and the Firebird course is super-fierce. One more thing, every driver in the series will never have even laid eyes on this course until their first practice!
WHY: If you have to ask you#ve not been to a Lucas Off Road race or seen one of these events on television! Dollar-for-dollar, minute-for-minute, pound-for-pound there’s just no more exciting wheel-to-wheel racing anywhere. Amazing skill and daring is standard equipment, and hard core off-road action is anywhere one looks, all race long.
WHO: The top names in professional Off Road Racing, along with Super Stars from Pro Moto-X, the X-Games, and more. Carl Renezeder, Rob MacCachren, Jeff Ward, Rick Huseman, Marty Hart, Robby Woods, Chris Brandt, Brian Deegan, Rodrigo Ampudia, Stephan Padadakis, Ricky Johnson, Cameron Steele, and over a hundred and fifty more drivers will all converge on Chandler this weekend for wheel-to- wheel battle.
ONE MORE THING: The Pit Area at every Lucas Oil Off Road Race is open to the public all event long and a great place for photos, autographs, and insider looks at all the race teams in action. The kids love it, the racers enjoy the attention, and everyone is part of the show!
