(Lake Forest, CA June 11, 2010) Former West Coast Sales Manager Jon Eide becomes Scorpion Sports’ new National Sales Manager, effective immediately. A die-hard enthusiast, Eide has been a part of Scorpion’s sales management team since 2004, when he moved from Eugene, Oregon, to an inside phone sales position developing new dealers for the start-up helmet and apparel brand.
“Jon has been here since the beginning and witnessed the growth of the brand,” says Scorpion Sports’ President Rick Miller. “His background at the dealership level and the exceptional job he has done to build the brand is certainly important, but it is his passion for the industry and the fact that he rides motorcycles that really clinched the deal!”
“I got my first motorcycle when I was 7 years old,” exclaims Eide. “Best Christmas present ever!” Before moving to California to work for Scorpion, Eide served on the dealership front lines as a parts and accessories guy at Cycle Sports of Eugene, a 17,000 sq./ft. Honda/Kawasaki/SeaDoo store. “I learned a ton from working closely with the owner, GM, parts manager and sales reps, which I still use on the job every day,” explains Eide.
Jon was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast in 2005, a territory that included dealers in nine states. Most recently, that territory had expanded to 13 states under Jon’s leadership, before becoming the National Sales Manager. “I love working in this industry and I don’t think that you will find a more passionate group of people anywhere!”
