Jackson Rancheria sponsored Team Jean RZR XP 4 900 wins VORRA Night Vision 250

Fallon, NV – Team Jean driver Dennis Jean and co-driver Sean Cook drove their way through the late afternoon heat and cool night of the Nevada desert to a 1st place finish in the PRO UTV Class at the 2nd race of the VORRA desert series.

This would be the first race back for Driver Dennis Jean in his Polaris RZR XP 4 900 since his crash last year in the V2R race.  Dennis stated it was his intent to find a steady pace and work out any bugs on the UTV.  Lap 1 started at 6:32 pm and except for a minor steering bushing issue things went as planned. Dennis and co-driver Sean Cook found their rhythm and settled into a steady pace.  By the end of lap 1 they found that the rear shocks needed a minor adjustment so they pulled into their pits to allow their crew to make the appropriate adjustments to the UTV.

As they exited the pits and got back to race action on lap #2 co-driver Sean Cook felt there was something loose in the rear end.  As they were in the rock garden they chose to wait and find a good spot to pull over and check the rear end. Dennis found a safe location for co-driver Sean Cook to jump out and diagnose the problem. Sean discovered the left rear shock seal had blown out.  As they called the pits to see what to do, Dennis was forced to slow the pace of the Rzr in order to save the other working shock. The decision was made to continue the lap with caution and make the necessary repairs at the next pit stop.

Upon returning to their pit the crew was quick to get the shock off and assess what needed to be done, then get it repaired and back on the UTV.  Once the shock was repaired they returned the vehicle back to race speed.  The balance of the race was uneventful for the crew as their Muzzys powered XP finished the race at 2:21 am Sunday morning.

As desert racing would have it the attrition rate was high and they found themselves taking the 1st place class position as well as 14th place overall in the race.

Dennis and Sean would like to thank the SPEED Energy Norcal pit crew who without their help they would have never made it to the finish line.

Team Jean would like to thank all of their sponsors who helped in their racing efforts:
