Justin Lambert – Kawasaki Teryx

Lambert lays down fastest lap and scores 2nd spot on podium! Last year this course was really rough, the soft dirt and sand make for a track that gets whoops and holes dug out in it before the UTV race even starts. This year, it was somehow rougher!

Starting in the front row, Justin Lambert would watch 3 competitors next to him jump the starting flag, and when the flagman went ahead and flew it anyway, the Cognito Kawasaki Teryx was unfortunately 4th coming into turn 1. By the end of lap one, Lambert was chasing the 1st place car and then shortly after made the pass and checked out from the competition and would hold onto the lead with a substantial gap for the next 3 laps where he also laid down the fastest lap in class by 16 seconds! The course was brutal and the Cognito suspension along with the Fox shocks, Muzzys power, and ITP wheels and tires had come together for an impressive run. At the start of the final lap, a noise up front and an ill handling car would worry Lambert that the car might not make it around to finish the final lap. The brutal course had taken its toll and shook a bolt loose in the front end. Taking it easy, Lambert would only slow enough in the final lap to allow one competitor to pass, and grasp 2nd place for round 2.
