Sand Addiction Magazine - Dune Tour
Sand Addiction Dune Tour Makes Stop in South Dunes
Over the weekend of October 17, 18, & 19, Sand Addiction Magazine hosted a series of family-oriented activities in the South Dunes/Gordon’s Well area. This is the second stop in the Sand Addiction Dune Tour for 2008. The temperatures hovered near 100 and the activities were just as hot.
Everyone, young and old, had a great time with an agenda full of safety-conscious, entertaining activities. Friday night began with the world premier of UTV Mayhem II, and bonfire, drive-in movie-style. Saturday’s events included a scavenger and a Polaris Show and Shine where participants had the opportunity to show off their driving skills and their gorgeous rides. The ATV Safety Institute also held rider certification classes for young riders to learn the most important aspects of safe duning. There were many winners in the raffle that took place Saturday afternoon and the list of prizes included items donated by: UTV Concepts, Forest River, Muzzys.com, OMF, Axia Alloys, Kalgard, Race 401, Powertank, Duneslider, PRP Seats, Billet King, Poles & Holders, Superclean, KW Machine Works, Power Madd, Accutronix, Offroaders Outreach.org, Nordskog, Gibson Performance, Arctic Cat, American Outdoor, and Lone Star Racing.

It’s important that we preserve and protect the environment that were allowed to play in and with the ever growing challenges of anti-access groups, we as users need to do our part. It’s important that we teach our kids that we need to clean up after ourselves before we leave. Sand Addiction Magazine will offer a three (3) issue complimentary subscription to every family who brings a minimum of two bags of trash back to the hospitality area.UTV Mayhem II
will be debuting on Friday and Saturday nights.http://www.utvmayhem.com/

2008 Sand Sports Super Show - UTVs everywhere!
Our Kawasaki Teryx was in the SDR Motorsports booth.
Our Polaris RZR was in the Fullerton Sand Sports booth.
The Sand Car market has slowed down, but UTVs were hotter than ever at this year's Sand Sports Super Show.
Check out all the pictures from the 10th annual show:http://www.utvguide.net/trip_report_ssss_2008.htm
Arctic Cat Prowler 1000 XTZ is one fast UTV!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the 2009 Arctic Cat Press Introduction is Rapid City, South Dakota. This was a great opportunity to review the new Prowler line-up before they hit dealer floors. Arctic Cat put on a great event, and the ride location gave us a good chance to ride over a variety of terrain.
Without a doubt, the engine of the new Prowler 1000 XTZ is the one thing that has everyone talking. In the competitive side x side market, having the most powerful engine is incredibly important. The engine alone will be enough for the Prowler to appeal to a whole new set of customers that desire high horsepower (like those that ride in the dunes, desert and mud).
The 2009 Prowler XTZ has a 950cc v-twin hemi that puts down serious torque which completely blows away other sport side x side vehicles that are currently available by Yamaha, Polaris and Kawasaki. We had the Prowler XTZ over 65 mph and it still had more in it. If you are interested in the fastest production UTV on the market, the XTZ is the current winner. Arctic Cat does not limit the speed or rpm on the Prowler 1000.

10th Annual Sand Sports Super Show
Coos Bay, Oregon Dunes
We visited the Oregon Dunes in late August with out Polaris RZR and Kawasaki Teryx. We had one day of rain, and some torn up dunes, but it was a great trip. The views are incredible.
Did not like the amount of whoops on the trails going out to the ocean. Made the trails not very enjoyable. The fresh water ponds and the pine trees are beautiful though.
