BLACK RHINO ANNOUNCES THE COMPANY’S NEWEST RELATIONSHIP WITH HIGH DESERT RACING ASSOCIATION

Black Rhino Performance
El Cajon, CA – Kenny Osborn, owner of Black Rhino, and Roger Norman of HDRA have been working behind the scenes to promote the UTV Class in the HDRA Series. Black Rhino will not only promote the class but will also help UTV racers logistically with transportation, pit support and other needs.

“In the year since I became owner of Black Rhino, the company has become synonymous with UTV racing.  My goal has always been to promote the class in any way I can.  Black Rhino’s relationship with HDRA is just one more way for me to do this, it’s exciting and all of us at the shop are proud to be a part of this great series. UTV racing is one of the most cost effective classes there is and one of the most exciting to watch. I want anyone out there who has the passion and the interest in this class to know that Black Rhino is there to help them get started; all they need to do is pick up the phone and call. For those already active in the sport, this is another great opportunity to do what they love, race!” Osborn stated.

Roger Norman of HDRA said, “Kenny and I are neighbors with our off road businesses.  I drove by one day and it just clicked!  The two of us could work together to make a difference in off road racing by building up the UTV class. UTV racing is one of the most important classes in off road racing. There are so many manufacturers producing UTVs, the market has the most potential for growth.   Because of its affordability, anyone can buy a UTV, make it race ready and compete.”

Jake Velasco, Team Manager for Norman Motorsports said, “HDRA is excited to announce our new relationship with Black Rhino. We feel that Kenny and Black Rhino will attract  UTV racers to come race in this evolving race series. This will allow the off-road racers to bring family and friends out to support their racing addiction. We at HDRA are planning new ways to attract spectators out to our events with the use of freestyle motocross and Navy Seal recruiting officers will also be on hand recruiting the younger generations while action packed off-road racing is going on.”

High Desert Racing Association (HDRA) is a professional off-road racing organization based in Las Vegas, NV. HDRA currently sanctions off-road racing events in both Nevada and California.

HDRA was re-introduced to the desert racing scene in late 2011 by long time desert racing enthusiasts Roger Norman, Robert Gross and Ken Flippin. Together with a core group of other experienced desert racing personnel, HDRA is committed to move desert racing to new dimensions. Their focus is desert racing FOR RACERS… BY RACERS.

The HDRA 2012 schedule includes five races ranging from 10-12 mile multi-lap DesertCross courses all the way to a 500-mile long distance cross-country desert race.
